THIS IS NOT A BOOK OF CULINARY CARRYINGS-ON NOR OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY.  IN THE 1950'S, HOGTOWN WAS CLEARLY DIVIDED INTO TWO SEGMENTS OF HUMANITY.  THE ELITE... WEALTHY, WHITE ANGLO-SAXON PROTESTANTS...WERE IN CHARGE OF ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.  THE UN-ELITE... EVERYONE ELSE...WERE NOT IN CHARGE OF ANYTHING, PARTICULARLY THEIR OWN DESTINIES.
 

Hogs and Cabbagers is the stories of individuals, from these two separate worlds, who, in one way or the other, connected on a day-to-day basis.  The lively characters will keep you tuned-in as you follow their loves, anguish and laughter.  Among them are the likes of fist fighters, con-men, streetwalkers, deluded dishwashers, ordinary working stiffs, narrow-gauge corporate clones, unfrocked pastors, and wealthy housewives with an itch.  The book is like a whole bunch of short stories, loosely connected.  Easy to pick up and read in convenient bursts.
